Four new federal ministers will take oath of their office today (Monday) in the third phase of expansion in the federal cabinet of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, Dunya News reported.
Umar Ayub Khan, Ali Zaidi, Mian Muhammad Soomro and Murad Saeed would take oath as federal ministers today. With the new inductions, the strength of cabinet will become 20 federal ministers, one state minister and four advisers to prime minister. Besides this cabinet, the PM also has three special assistants.
The oath-taking ceremony will be held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr (President House) at 2:00pm. Newly-elected President Dr Arif Alvi will administer the oath to new ministers.
Umar Ayub Khan will be given the portfolio of energy while Ali Zaidi will be given the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Muhammadmian Soomro will look after the affairs of privatisation. No decision about the portfolio of Murad Saeed has been taken yet.
