Translation of Dr. Shams Jilani “Roshni Hira Say”

Najashi's expression of joy at the victory of Badr, the departure of Hazrat
Fatimah (RA), and the conquest of Dhu-e-Amr, as well as mischief’s created by
Najdis

Section: 162

During last section we have almost finished up to the point that Prophet
Muhammad (PBUH) was on the move & at the point of Dhi Al Amr, a heavy
rain took place & the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) took a rest under a shaded
tree. On the other hand, polytheists also got this information, so they tried to
take advantage of the situation, a brave young man named Ghorus was sent by
them so that he could kill the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) while he was
resting under the tree. And he reached the place where Messenger of Allah,
(peace be upon him) was resting and since his clothes were soaked, the
Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him sword was stuck in the
branch of the tree, he found the Holy Prophet (PBUH) sleeping and seized the
sword. Then he started to the challenge the Prophet ﷺ‎, O Muhammad

ﷺ! Who will save you from my hands now? The Prophet's eyes were
opened and when the situation becomes clear, the Prophet Muhammad
(PBUH) replied, that my God & at the same time, the angel of Almighty Allah
Ta'ala, Hazrat Jibril (AS) appeared. He took the sword from his hand and
presented it to the Holy Prophet. Then the Holy Prophet (PBUH) showed the
same sword & asked Who will save you from my hand? So he said that no one
will save me. And in the second breath, he recited Ashhad in la ilaha Allah wa
Ashhad wa un Muhammad Raso Allah and said, By Allah! Till the doomsday,
no group of enemies can resist you." In the meantime, hearing the noise, the
Companions (R.A.) also ran and reached, and upon hearing this, the Holy
Prophet (PBUH) said, "Are you able to see this strong & tall man. You see, he
wanted to ride on my chest and cut off my head. But now he accepted the
belief in the oneness of Allah and my prophethood. He confessed and entered
Islam. And he says that I will go back and explain to my people who were
against you. Do not come for fight and will also invite them towards the Islam.
Waqdi say that this verse was revealed on this occasion. Which we will
present at the end of this article. God willing, I will present why Ibn Ishaq has
narrated a couple of incidents about the descent of his glory, but in one of
them, the name is the same, but the other name is different in it. Perhaps
because of the same intention of the incident, the historians have been

confused. In fact, the incident of Zaat al-Raqqa is a later incident. This took
place in the fourth year of Hijra. He assured his people that he would kill
Muhammad ﷺ. When people asked him how, he said, "I will become his
believer. Therefore, Ibn Ishaq says that he came to serve the Holy Prophet
(PBUH) and showed that he had brought an important message to his people."
And he intends to become a Muslim. But suddenly he took control of his sword
and asked him, "Tell me, who will save you from my hand now?" The Holy
Prophet (PBUH) said, Ya Allah, "Hearing this, he did not want to attack, but the
sword slipped from his hand and fell." And according to Ibn Ishaq, this verse
was revealed on this occasion or on a similar occasion. But there is no
mention of its end in this incident. Therefore, these are two different events
and two different persons, which historians have described in two places
because of the similarity, which creates confusion and the matter is not clear.
The verse is

يا ايها الذين آمنو اذكر و نعمت الله علیکم…

O mankind! Remember the Grace of Allah upon you!
