West Indies won the toss against Afghanistan in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 and opted to bat first at the Headingley, Leeds on Thursday.
West Indies skipper Jason Holder said the pitch could get slower as it progresses. The Windies made two changes as Evin Lewis and Kemar Roach are in for Sunil Ambris and Shannon Gabriel.
Afghanistan captain Gulbadin Naib said he would also have wanted to bat first. Afghanistan have left out Hamid Hassan and Hashmatullah as Sayed Shirzad and Dawlat Zadran are in.
