n Pakistan Day, a prestigious awards ceremony was held at Aiwan-e-Sadr and Governor House Lahore, where individuals from various fields were honoured with the country’s highest civilian awards.
Former prime minister and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) founder, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, was posthumously awarded Nishan-e-Pakistan, the nation’s highest honour. His daughter, Sanam Bhutto, received the award on his behalf.
The grand event at Aiwan-e-Sadr recognised exceptional contributions across various sectors.
The ceremony was attended by Senate Chairman Yousuf Raza Gilani, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, and First Lady Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari. Among those honoured, Air Marshal (Retd.) Raja Shahid Hamid was posthumously awarded Nishan-e-Imtiaz.
