Translation of Dr. Shams Jilani “Roshni Hira Say”
Najashi’s expression of joy at the victory of Badr, the departure of Hazrat Fatimah (RA), and the conquest of Dhu-e-Amr, as well as mischief’s created by Najdis
Section: 160
During last section we have almost finished all the events of the Battle of Badr, and now we are presenting the last event of this series. Bahiqi (RA) narrates that Abu al-Qasim Abd al-Rahman Barani narrated to him, and this is the same thing has been told by Ahmad bin Salman Al Majid, Abdullah Bin Abi Duniya, Hamza bin Abdullah bin Abbas and Abdullah bin Mubarak (R.A.) The same narration, they had heard from Abdul Rehman bin Yazd, by the person who was from Jabir & Sana who was still living as a refugee in the country of Najashi. On the day of Najashi sent Jafar bin Abi Talib and his companions who were still living there to meet Hazrat Jafar. Now read what has been told by Hazrat Jafar (RA), he says that when I reached his palace with him, I saw that there were two of them, dressed in straight clothes and sitting down. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was given this place by Badr and so-and-so went to the guards of Quraysh, and so-and-so was imprisoned and this is an eye-witness of this incident. Hazrat Jafar bin Abi Talib (RA) further says that when he heard this good news, he became silent. I thanked him at first and then asked him why he had made this his situation, so he heard his question and said, “I have spoken in this speech about my Prophet Jesus (PBUH).” I have read that when Allah Ta’ala bestows a blessing on His servants, it is the duty of the servants to express their gratitude as a form of gratitude. I am thanking him for following this word of God and obeying it. Because, like you Muslims, I also consider myself a share in the blessings of Allah Almighty and I congratulate you Muslims on this with heartfelt joy.
The marriage of Hazrat Ali (RA) to Hazrat Fatima Bint Rasool (PBUH) and his departure was narrated by Al-Bukhari on the authority of Zuhri, and he on the authority of Ali bin Hussain and his father Hussain, and he on the authority of his father Ali Bin (RA) Abi Talib. He said that this incident happened during second Hijra year but Imam Bahiqi (RA) in Al-Mandah’s book “Kitab Al-Ma’araft” in reference to Hazrat Ali (R.D.) quoting this tradition and that the Prophet (S.A.W.) married Hazrat Fa-Tama (S.A.) to Hazrat Ali (R.A.) during first year of Hijra but the bridal departure took place in the third year of Hijra. May Allah knows better. Going forward, he referred to Hazrat Ali (RA). Later, a narration came directly from the mouth of Hazrat Ali (RA) that he said that when he sent the proposal of his marriage with Hazrat Fatimah, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) asked, “Do you have anything?”
