Pursuit of Quraish and their escape to Makkah
Return of Holy Prophet (PBUH) from Uhad: When holy Prophet Muhammad
(PBUH) came back, the women expressed different reactions on this occasion.
After that, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) visited his female quarter
and first met his daughter Hazrat Fatima Al-Zahra (S) as usual. She showed
the same patience on this occasion as well, as he did when he saw the Prophet
(PBUH) injured in the battlefield. Therefore, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) gave
her his bloody sword while appreciating his bravery. And he said: "Daughter,
wash off his blood. This was proved very true on the occasion of the battle.
After that, Hazrat Ali, may God bless him and give him his sword, said, "Wash
it off, too." It turned out to be true. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said, "Alongside
you, Suhail bin Hanif (RA) Suhail bin Hanif (RA) and Abu Dujana (RA) also
remained steadfast. It should be noted that both of them also participated side
by side with Hazrat Ali (RA), not only in the battle but also when the Prophet
(PBUH) was surrounded by the infidels and they wanted that the candle of
Islam to be extinguished forever. give So even at that time, these two were
also included among those who remain steadfast during that difficult times.
Ibn Hisham has written that on the occasion of the battle, someone had also
raised this slogan after seeing Hazrat Ali (RA) fighting, saying, "La saif ila
zulfiqar wa lafati ila aaleyeni", that is, there is no sword like zulfiqar and no
spear like Ali. But Ibn Hisham (RA) has written that Zulfiqar was the name of a
sword of the Holy Prophet (SAW). And adding to it, it has also been written
that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said “These swords cannot be brought to the
fore by the polytheists until Allah Ta'ala gives them victory over us."
According to Ibn Ishaq (RA), the Battle of Uhud took place on 15 Shawwal, 3
Hijri. He further writes that the people had not been able to take the rest yet,
that on the second day i.e. Sunday, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) announced that
those who participated in the war with us yesterday were the only ones to
leave again today. Get ready for this as we are leaving to follow the infidels. It
was a very sad scene and also a great test that on such an occasion that the
pain of yesterday was not gone yet, but some of the wounds were healed
instead of giving voice to the fresh army. The Holy Prophet Muhammad
(PBUH) was giving voice only to the tired army whereas the constitution of
the world is that fresh army is always given voice on such occasions. While the
leader of the hypocrites, Abdullah bin Abi Sulul, offered to go with his three
hundred warriors, but the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) refused. And
forbade all except one person who did not participated in the battle yesterday.
But his excuse was very reasonable. He said, O Messenger of Allah, I was
determined to fight yesterday, but I had to obey my father's order, which was
obligatory on me.
