A few more miracles and the treatment with the captives of Badr

Section: 144

We were discussing in the previous episode that as many miracles as
happened in the battle of Badr that did not happen in any other single battle.
Therefore, we gave some examples in the previous episode, now some more in
this series, Insha Allah, we will continue. The Qur'an says that by reciting the
name of Almighty Allah and the Messenger ﷺ by the people of faith will
refresh their souls & faith both. It all depends on His mercy as to whom to
guide and who to go astray.

Returning of the vision: Anna Ibn Kathir has written that Bayhaqi writes in his
Ab al- Dalayl that Abu Saeed Malini said to him that Abu Ahmad bin Adi Abu
Ya’li, Yahya bin Al- Hamani, and he narrated it on the authority of Abd al- Aziz
bin Ghasail. He received this narration from Asim bin Qatadah and he heard

from his father and grandfather Qatadah (RA) bin Numan that his sight was
lost due to a head injury in the Battle of Badr and the eye sockets were so
painful that a surgeon suggested removing them. But they refused to accept it
and they came to the service of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be Upon
Him) and expressed their pain and asked for supplication. He prayed to Allah
Subhanahu Taala for them, but placed his blessed hands on their eyes in such
a way that not only the pain went away, but the sight also returned as if it had
never gone.

Returning to the sight of Rafi' (R.A.) bin Malik: It is also narrated by Bayhaqi
(R.A.) that Abdullah bin Hafiz, Muhammad Salih, Fazl bin Muhammad Sha'rani,
Ibrahim bin Mundhir Abdul Aziz bin Imran and Rafey bin Yahya gave him
permission. Narrated by Ibn Rafey bin Rafi and his father Rafey bin Malik, or
that Rafey bin Malik told them that on the day of the Battle of Badr, when the
people were gathering near Abi Khalaf, I also reached there and saw that some
strings were coming out of his armor & cut it with my sword and the point of
my sword accidentally hit him in the armpit. Then when I returned to my
ranks, an arrow came from where I don't know and hit me in the eye. It
happened, which made me unable to do anything and I began to suffer from
pain. When you ﷺ applied your saliva to my eye and prayed to Allah, not

only did my eye pain go away, but I felt as if an arrow had not hit my eye. That
the passages given in it are so authentic that no Muhaddith or historian has
denied it.

Listening of the voice in the distant areas: The narrator of this incident is
Hazrat Ayesha Siddiqa (RA). She says that when the Muslims encamped,
Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) tried to find out the encampment of
Quraysh and sent the Companions (R.A.) for it.

They were silently searching the camps of Qureysh, & in this moment
suddenly they noticed that Ummaya bin Khalaf is advancing towards their
side to explore the details of Muslims. When he sighted the party of Muslims,
he got upset. And in this chaos, he ran with his feet upside down and the bush
which he took support while running was uprooted and he was buried in a
pile of stones, so the Sahaabah (R.A.) came to know on which side the Quraish
was encamped.
