Youm-e-Ashur, the tenth of Moharram, is being observed across the country today (Sunday) with due solemnity to pay homage to the supreme sacrifice rendered by Hazrat Imam Hussain Razi Allah Taala Anho and his devoted companions in Karbala.
Standard Operating Procedures have also been issued for the mourning processions after consultations with the religious scholars to avoid spread of Covid-19.
Elaborate security arrangements have been made to avoid any untoward incident while the routes of the processions are also being monitored through aerial surveillance and control rooms. Mobile phone services have also been suspended on the routes of the processions.
