Translation of Dr. Shams Jilani “Roshni Hira Say” (The construction of Masjid Nabawi & arrival of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) family)
Chapter (94)
During last section we discussed the construction of Masjid Nabawi was going & Hazrat Ammar Bin Yasir was working hard along with other companions. While working he was reciting this verse in Arabic that literally means, That literally means, the person who took part in the construction of the mosque & then spend his time there, & the person who stay away due to dust & sand from the construction will not be same in level. From the historical sources, it has not been clear that whether these verses were first recited by Hazrat Ali (RA) & later by Hazrat Ammar. It was also not clear that this was originally composed by Hazrat Ali (RA) or it was someone else verses. But on listening this recitation from Hazrat Ammar (RA), some of the companions get offended that they took it as the sarcasm. They went to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) & complained about it. On listening their complaint, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) felt heartbreak & said, why you people has issue with Ammar. I like him to extent as inner skin of my nose. After this the companions get silent & they were again engaged in construction of Masjid Nabawi. Again the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, O Ammar you will die by the hands of the rebels. And this happened almost thirty seven years later when he passed away while fighting from the side of Hazrat Ali (RA) in Battle of Siffin. All the people were collectively reciting the same verse, which Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was reciting on the day of arrival at Madinah Al Munawwara.
“لا عیش الا عیش الا حرہ اللھم ارحم الا انصار و ال مھاجر”
O Almighty Allah, please grant mercy on Ansar & as well as Muhajirs who came from Makkah. Now when the construction of Masjid Nabawi has been completed & chambers of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) got build, then Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) got shifted there. In the meantime, the family of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that consist of his wife, the mother of believers, Hazrat Sawdah (RA), daughters, Hazrat Fatima (RA) & Um Kulthum (RA) along with other members also reached Madinah Al Munawaara. Hazrat Abu Rafey & Hazrat Zaid bin Harith (RA) also came with them. They also brought with them around five hundred dirhams. Hazrat Ayesha Siddiqa (RA) came with her brother. By this time, she stayed with her father as her Rukhsati (Farewell) of the bride to the groom’s home was done. The daughter Hazrat Ruqayya came later with her husband, Hazrat Usman (RA) from Habsha (Abyssinia). And Hazrat Zainab (RA) with her husband Aas Bin Rabiah stayed back in Makkah. According to historians, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) stayed for approximately seven months at the house of Hazrat Abu Ayyub Ansari (RA). But some historians have written the date of his shifting to Masjid Nabawi as 01st Safar. By this way this duration has become almost ten months.
