The government in its guideline said that these facilities can only function with 50% sitting capacity. This is to curb the possibility of virus spread. “Seats not to be occupied” have to be marked, the guidelines added.
Show timings of the screenings will also be staggered and only sufficient ticketing counters would operate to ensure no overcrowding. People are also advised to abstain from moving during intermission.
In addition, the government is advising people and multiplexes to promote online booking to avoid crowding. Floor markers are mandatory for cinema halls. One must also have the Arogya Setu app installed on their phone and must carry a face mask and hand sensitiser with them.
The audience, moreover, can only carry packed food inside the theatre and no delivery will be permitted inside the auditorium. The AC temperature must be set between 24 degrees and 30 degrees Celcius.
The Department of School Education and Literacy also released SOPs for schools planning to reopen from October 15.
The SOPs say that all students, attending the school, must carry the written consent of parents. If a school is planning to open, it must ensure proper sanitisation equipment in the classrooms.
Also, the schools are advised to provide flexibility in attendance for students not willing to go to school as of now.
The Education Department has also asked States and Union Territories to develop their own SOP based on the centre’s guidelines.
Meanwhile, schools across Delhi will remain shut till October 31.
