The counting of votes in all four constituencies of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is currently underway with some unconfirmed and unofficial results also being reported.
PP-51 Wazirabad
According to the preliminary results of 36 polling stations of PP-51 constituency in Wazirabad, PTI candidate Chaudhry Muhammad Yousuf is trailinging with 12,311 votes while PML-N candidate Begum Talat Shaukat is leading with 13,107 votes.
PK-63 Nowshera
According to the preliminary results of PK-63 constituency of Nowshera, PML-N’s Ikhtiar Wali has won the by-election with 12,122 votes while PTI’s Mian Umar was able to secure 17,023 votes.
NA-45 Kurram
According to the unofficial results of 54 polling stations of NA-45 Kurram, Independent candidate Syed Jamal is leading with 7,851 votes while PTI candidate Malik Fakhr Zaman is second with 7,838 votes. JUI-F’s Candidate Malik Jamil Khan is at the third position with 4,315 votes.
NA-75 Daska
According to unofficial results of 42 polling stations of NA-75 Daska by-election, Ali Asjad of PTI is trailing with 8,826 votes while Noshin Iftikhar of PML-N is leading with 11,751 votes.
Earlier, voting started at 8:00am and continued till 5:00pm without any interval.
Rangers and FC officials were deployed outside the polling stations and given the authority to take action against any irregularities or violations. However, they were required to notify the relevant presiding officers before taking said action.
The seat of NA-75 Tehsil Daska, District Sialkot was vacated after the death of PML-N’s MNA Syed Iftikhar-ud-Din in August 2020.
Provincial Assembly seat PP-51 Wazirabad was vacated due to death of PML-N MPA Chaudhry Shaukat Manzoor Cheema in June 2020 due to coronavirus.
