Translation of Dr. Shams Jilani “Roshni Hira Say” (The
construction of Masjid Nabawi & arrival of Prophet
Muhammad (PBUH) family)
Chapter (92)
During last section we discussed the arrival of Prophet
Muhammad (PBUH) to Madinah Al Munawwara & we
concluded our article on the companions who left all their
belongings in Makkah & migrated to Madinah for the sake of
Islam & their beloved Prophet (PBUH). And the Prophet
Muhammad (PBUH) chooses the home of Hazrat Abu Ayyub
Ansari (RA) for his stay. Now let’s continue about the
sermons of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that was
delivered on Friday. This narrative came to us by Hazrat Abu
Salamah (RA).
The first sermon: After praising & offering thanks to
Almighty Allah. O People, do the good deeds for yourself as
you should know that all of us have to taste the fate of death.
After leaving from this material world, there will be no one
left to take care of his grazing animals. Then Almighty Allah
will talk in the way to him that there will be no barrier
where he can hide. Then you will be asked, O man, didn’t you
receive the message from the Prophet, I had send among
you. I had bestowed all the bounties on you & what you had
done for yourself?
At that moment in the front of Allah, he will start looking on
right & left. And then when he will look in the front, he will
find the fire of the hell. So whenever possible, try to protect
yourself from this fire. Even if the good deed can be done by
the piece of the date fruit, or if the piece of the date fruit is
not available at least he can speak about one good deed. This
small effort will also be rewarded. For one good deed, the
person will get the ten times reward. May you have the
salutation of peace from Almighty Allah & his Prophet?
A narration came from Ibn Ishaq (RA) that Prophet
Muhammad (PBUH) gave another sermon also.
Second Sermon:
There is no doubt that all the praise belong to Almighty
Allah. I praise my Lord & only seek help from him. I seek
refuge of Allah for my acts & acts of the mischievous people
in our surrounding. I witness that there is no deity but Allah.
He is the only one & no shares with him. The best word &
speech is the book of Almighty Allah. Whose heart get
imprint by Almighty Allah with this book, & from the state of
Kufr (denial), he will enter in Islam. He gave the preference
to this book over all the other things. There is no doubt that
he progress. There is no doubt that this purest & the best
words. Whatever has been preferred & adore by your
Almighty Allah, keep it close to your lives & heart. From all
your hearts, love your creator, the Almighty Allah. Don’t get
displeased from the words of Almighty Allah or his longing.
Because from the things created by the Almighty Allah, some
of them became close to him. One of the important points
that has been delivered by Almighty Allah is the
categorization of the things among you as permissible &
forbidden. Make supplications & worship your Almighty
Lord, & don’t share any one with Allah. Always remain
fearful with your creator & remain truthful to him. For the
sake of Almighty Allah always spread love & generosity
among your neighborhood. Breaking the oaths & promises
will make your Lord (Almighty Allah) angry. May Allah have
mercy on all of you?
