KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday adjourned hearing of a petition against the removal of A.D. Khawaja as Inspector General of Police, Sindh, till Thursday.
The court also extended the stay against removal of Khawaja and asked him to continue his duties as IGP Sindh till the court decides the matter.
A division bench of the high court heard the a petition filed by Piler’s Karamat Ali against the removal of the IGP.
Barrister Faisal Siddiqui, the counsel of the petitioner, in his arguments said that after the 18th Constitutional Amendment, it was necessary to review the division of powers and the new laws.
