Hussain Nawaz on Wednesday submitted a constitutional petition in the Supreme Court (SC) for his leaked Joint Investigation Team (JIT) appearance picture.

“The leaked picture and recording the proceedings on tape is a violation of both, the law and code of conduct,” the petition stated.

The petition equated video recording of the proceedings during the investigation to duress and stated that an independent atmosphere should be provided to the witnesses for the probe.

The JIT is treating witnesses as if they are guilty and JIT members are trying to threatening witnesses to record biased statements, the petition stated.

The petition, submitted by senior lawyer Khawaja Haris, requested the court to order a ban to record the proceedings and form a commission to probe into the leaked picture.
