Islamabad’s local accountability court (AC) on Tuesday has started procedure to confiscate property of Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz
As per details, NAB submitted report comprising details of shares owned by aforementioned personalities in AC. The report states that Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz own shares in as much as six companies as per details provided by Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan. AC ordered anti-graft watchdog to confiscate shares and adjourned hearing till Nov-14.
On the other hand, Islamabad High Court s (IHC) two-member bench has issued a written judgment on Nawaz Sharif’s plea seeking unification of NAB references. The verdict states that a written order is being issued to NAB before regular hearing of Nawaz’s plea. IHC directed Nawaz’s legal counsel to submit charge-sheet of indictment till Nov-2.
AC had summoned Nawaz Sharif, his sons Hassan Nawaz and Hussain Nawaz, daughter Maryam, and son-in-law Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar in NAB references pertaining to the Avenfield flats, Flagship Investment Limited and 15 other companies as well as AlAzizia Company Limited and Hill Metals Establishment.
Both Hassan and Hussain failed to register their appearances upon which court ordered to start procedure of confiscation of their property.
