Islamabad has conveyed its ‘serious concerns’ over the display of anti-Pakistan slogans on taxis plying the roads in London.
Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua called in British High Commissioner Thomas Drew on Friday to convey Pakistan’s concerns over the display of such slogans on some cabs in London that directly attacked the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
According to the Foreign Office, the high commissioner was informed that Pakistan, in line with the UN Charter, rejected the actions and advertisements displaying malicious content that impinged on its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The issue is also being raised with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office by the Pakistan High Commissioner in London, the Foreign Office said in a statement.

“Pakistan is aware of the intentions of such sinister and malicious campaigns, which should not be allowed on the soil of a friendly country,” Janjua said.
The development came after Pakistani social media users spotted the cabs in London and shared their pictures, condemning the anti-Pakistan propaganda.
