Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz President and Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif will return to Pakistan on June 8 to face a probe by the national anti-graft body.
Sharif, who left for London on April 10 after he was granted conditional bail by the Lahore High Court (LHC) and his name was removed from the Exit Control List, is reportedly getting medical treatment in Britain.
Sources told Hum News that medical check-ups of the PML-N president have almost completed and he is planning to return to the country soon after Eid-ul-Fitr.
According to the sources, soon after his arrival, Shehbaz will meet former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in Kot Lakhpat jail and discuss with him the future strategy of the party as opposition parties plan an anti-government protest soon after Eid.
The PML-N president, who is facing the probe against the alleged money-laundering, having assets beyond known sources of income and misuse of authority, will also hold a meeting with his party leaders to discuss the overall political situation and thrash out a plan regarding the upcoming protest by the opposition parties.
On October 5, 2018, the National Accountability Bureau arrested Shehbaz in the Ashiana Housing scandal before he got bail from the LHC in February.
