Section: 113
The battles and struggles of First Hijra
During the last session we discussed about the battle &
skirmishes that took place in first year of Hijra. As we ended
our review in last section on participation of Prophet
Muhammad (PBUH) in battle of Abwa where there are
different opinions among the scholars.
Fahshi Bin Umru Alzamri was the tribal leader of that people
who came with the terms & conditions of this truce. But here
one interesting point came up that the dwelling of this tribe
was almost many manzil (unit of distance) away from
Madina Al Munawwara but Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
came back from first manzil. It might be possible that when
they got the news, they came back & presented before the
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Another point that needs mentions here that truce with this
tribe has also been mentioned in Battle of Ashira. It might be
possible that once they made truce & then deviated from the
peace. When next time, they saw the troops, they again
accepted the terms & conditions of truce.
This has been reflected from the statement of Hazrat Ali
(RA) that stated, does Bani Zamrah will remain on the terms
& conditions of peace? According to Ibn Hisham, when
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) left for the battle of Ashira,
Hazrat Abu Salma Al Asad (RA) was appointed as deputy at
Madinah Al Munawwara. And the flag that was escorted with
him along with the troops was headed by Hazrat Hamza
(RA).
The only purpose of this engagement was to keep away the
caravan of Quresyh that was on the way to Levant (Syria).
Ibn Ishaq (RA) has narrated that Prophet Muhammad
(PBUH) first moved to the place known as Naqab Bani Dinar
& then Fizae Bani Khayar, and then to the place known as
Batah e Ibn Azhar. Here below one tree, the tent of Prophet
Muhammad (PBUH) was placed. This location is also known
as Zaat Al Saaq. At this location, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
also offered his prayers. It was later Muslim rulers built one
mosque on this landmark. The food was also prepared close
by & all the companions along with Prophet Muhammad
(PBUH) ate the meals collectively.
The place from where the water for drinking was taken, this
landmark has been documented as Mashirab. When Prophet
Muhammad (PBUH) left Zaat Al Saaq, there were many dry
wells on the way. Finally after completing the journey, the
caravan reached the place known as Shabia Abdullah. From
here after passing many landmarks, they finally reached the
place Mukhaiyarrat Yamam & finally they reached Asheera.
Here Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) stayed for the complete
months of Jamadiul Awwal & few nights of Jamadiul Aakhir.
At the same landmark, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) made
conversations with the tribes of Bani Madlaj & Bani
Zamraah. And then he (PBUH) left for Madinah Al
Munawwara.
