Section: 127
The Departure of Prophet (PBUH) to Badr & his stay
During last section we reached up to the point that the Qureysh of Makkah got
ready for the battle & they had prepared themselves. As per the narrative of
Ibn Ishaq (RA) who had cited this Yazeed bin Rooman & he narrated from
Arwaah bin Zuber (RA) that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) left Madinah
Munawwara after spending few nights of Ramadan. But according to the
narratives of Ibn Hisham (RA) that after passing of eight days, they gathered
on the day of Monday. At Madinah Munawwara, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)
appointed his Umru bin Ummul Maktoom as his deputy for leading the
prayers who belonged to the tribe of Bani Aamir.
And then from the place of Rooha, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) appointed
Abu Lababa as the in charge of Madinah Al Munawwara.
According to Ibn Ishaq (RA), there were two flags in the front of Prophet
Muhammad (PBUH), one was in the hand of Hazrat Ali Ibn Talib (RA), &
second one as per narratives of Ibn Hisham (RA) was in the hands of Hazrat
Saad bin Maaz (RA). On the other hand, Ibn Ishaq (RA) didn’t write the name
but he said, that the second one was in the hands of Ansar.
And for the riding, they had only seventy camels on which everyone including
Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) got the chance to ride. And the last section of the
troop was guarded by Hazrat Qais bin Saasa (RA), who was from the tribe of
Bani Maazan. From Madinah, the Muslim troops along with Prophet
Muhammad (PBUH) departed via the mountain passes. First, they crossed,
Aqiq, Dhialifaah, Awlaat Al Jaish. Then he passed from Tarbaan, Ghamees Al
Hammam, Saheer Al Yammam, by passing from Rasyala, they reached
FajAlroo. Then at the point of Shanuka, they took the common route. From
here they reached the place known as Arq Al Natbiah. At this point, the
Muslim troops met a Bedouin. They inquired about the troops of Qureysh. But
he was not able to provide any answer. The companions asked this Bedouin to
greet Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by saying Salam. And he followed the
instructions. After that, they left this place & reached Al Munsarif. The current
name of this place is Al Musayjeed. And then they left the route to Makkah on
their left. And from the point of Al Nazia, they took the route of Badr. And then
they left one of the valleys that were small passage between Safara & Al
Naziah. This passage is known as Al Haqqan. When Prophet Muhammad
(PBUH) reached As Safra, the two companions were delegated by him to
enquire the movements of Qureysh towards the Badr. And then Prophet
Muhammad (PBUH) passed by the Wadi Dhafrin & halted there.
