The brotherhood between Muhajirs & Ansars at Madinah Al Munawwara
Chapter (96)
During last section we discussed the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that created an environment of brotherhood among the Ansars (residents of Madinah Al Munawwara) & Muhajirs (Migrants from Makkah). The arrival of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in Madinah Al Munawwara & establishment of first Islamic state brought many positive changes in the society of Madinah Al Munawwara. Let’s us continue our chapter & review that some narratives that gave details about the early establishment of brotherhood in Islamic society. Ibn Ishaq (RA) said that he received an authentic narrative in which Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, تاخو في الله اخوين اخوين
In the way of Almighty Allah, two of you became brothers. Then Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) holds the hand of Hazrat Ali (RA) & said, he is my brother. In this way the first brotherhood of Islam was built between Sayyad Ul Mursaleen & Hazrat Imam Ul Muttaqeen (RA). Then Hazrat Hamza bin Abdul Muttalib (RA) & Hazrat Zaid bin Harith (RA) became brothers in faith. Then Hazrat Jafar bin Abu Talib (RA) & Hazrat Maaz bin Jabal (RA) became brothers in faith. Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq (RA) & Hazrat Kharja Bin Zaid (RA), Hazrat Umar Bin Khattab (RA) & Hazrat Utbaan Bin Malik (RA), Abu Ubaida Bin Al Jirah whose real name was Aamir Bin Abdullah (RA), & Saad bin Maaz (RA), Abdur Rehman bin Awf (RA) & Saad bin Rabee (RA), Hazrat Zubair Bin Awam (RA) & Hazrat Abullah bin Masood (RA), Hazrat Utman bin Affan (RA) & Hazrat Thabit bin Manzar (RA), Hazrat Talha bin Ubiadullah (RA) & Hazrat Kaab bin Malik (RA), Hazrat Saad bin Zaid (RA) & Hazrat Abi bin Kaab (RA) who belonged to the tribe of Bani Najjar, Hazrat Masab bin Umair bin Hashim & Hazrat Abu Ayyub Khalid (RA), Hazrat Abu Hudaifa bin Utbah (RA) & Hazrat Ubadah bin Bashir (RA), Hazrat Ammar Bin Yasir (RA), the confederate of Bani Makhzoom & Hazrat Hudhayfah bin Al Yaman (RA) who was confederate of Abd Al Shahel, Hazrat Abudhar Ghaffari (RA) & Hazrat Manzar bin Amru (RA), Hazrat Salman Faarsi (RA) & Hazrat Abu Darda (RA), Hazrat Umair bin Thalba (RA), Hazrat Bilal (the muezzin of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), & Abu Rohiya Abdullah bin Abd Al Rehman Al Shaami (RA). These were the some blessed names in which the brotherhood in Islam was established. Some of the historians cited that this is the list of the companions from the day one when Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) started to build these relations during a congregational gathering at the home of one of the companions. Though this was continued for the many days & list was quite long. We don’t want to engage in the detailed argument but I would like to conclude this that on this earth, it’s difficult to find any tribe or community like the Ansars. That’s why in the book of Almighty Allah & the hadith of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) you can find mentions of Ansar & their kind behavior has been cited at many places. In the next section, we will cite some of the hadiths where Ansars (the Muslims of Madinah Al Munawwara) has been mentioned.
