Today, under the leadership of France and Saudi Arabia, 142 countries have adopted the New York Declaration on the implementation of the Two-State Solution.
Together, we are charting an irreversible path towards peace in the Middle East.
France, Saudi Arabia, and all their partners will be in New York to make this peace plan a reality at the Conference on the Two-State Solution.
Another future is possible. Two peoples, two States : Israel and Palestine, living side by side in peace and security.
It is up to all of us to make it happen!
Pakistan has voted in favour of the resolution adopted by the General Assembly today. In doing so, we reaffirm our long-standing and principled position on the Question of Palestine, based on the inalienable right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and the establishment of an independent, viable, and contiguous state of Palestine, on the basis of pre-1967 borders with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, in accordance with the relevant resolution of the United Nations and international legitimacy.
