At least 18 people were struck by gunfire during the weekend leaving one dead, according to Chicago police with no arrests so far in any of the cases, reported ABC7 Chicago.
According to the report, an incident of gunfire took place in the Little Village neighbourhood where a man pulled out his gun during a heated argument and started shooting people. F
Five people sustained injuries in the incident that occurred in the 3500 block of West 30th Street at 3:38am, the police said.
The suspect fled the scene in a white van and still remains at large.
As a result, three women were also injured. No suspect has been arrested yet.
Authorities also noted that a 35-year-old male was also struck by gunfire during a robbery on Saturday night in East Garfield Park on the West Side.
Police said that at around 11:50pm, the man was in the 3400 block of West Huron Street when he was approached by two people who took his belongings and shot him.
