In a major setback to Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) ahead of general elections 2018, former Punjab minister Zaeem Qadri has announced to contest elections against ex-Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif’s son Hamza Shehbaz independently.
Qadri was addressing a presser here in Lahore today.
Estranged Qadri will contest elections independently from Lahore’s constituency NA-133.
“I’m not a bootlicker. [I] will not serve you anymore”, warned Qadri while stating at the same time that he will only serve his members from now onwards.
Keeping verbal onslaught up, Qadri made it overtly clear that Lahore was not manor of Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza Shehbaz and that he would not bow down before anyone.
“I’ve tolerated much in the last ten years. I will not hurl allegations at anyone”, said Qadri. He also made it overtly clear on foes that he was not a political orphan.
Terming former Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique his brother, Qadri added that he would continue to pray for ailing Kulsoom Nawaz.
