Saudi energy facilities disrupted after Houthi attacks

Saudi Arabia’s energy ministry said on Tuesday that a number of energy facilities and utilities in the kingdom’s southern region had been attacked by Yemen’s Houthis, causing fires at several sites and temporarily halting some operations.

At least 73 people, including women and children, were injured in Saudi Arabia after Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis attacked the cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan and Najran, the spokesperson of the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen said.

The coalition will respond firmly to the attacks that targeted civilian and economic entities, the spokesperson added in a statement posted on X.
