Chapter (104)
During last section we discussed that the details of the points that were the part of the treaty proposed by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) for all the parties living at Yathrib (Madina). According to many historians, this was the first treaty in history where we witnessed that the rights for diverse communities has been given. In general, we could say that this treaty focus was centered on the humanistic aspects. Otherwise before this, it was an unspoken rule that the terms & conditions goes in the favor of those who yielded power. The tribes who were numerically superior or powerful used to inflict cruelty on all those tribes who were numerically inferior or less in power. If we will try to see such examples in our recent past, there are innumerable examples of this. Today those who proclaimed themselves as one of the torch bearers of human rights, when once ruled Indian subcontinent reflected many episodes of crushing human values. One of those was the creation of Zamindars & princely states who were one of the prominent sections that inflicted their oppressive acts on masses. Now imagine this in the long past that’s a time span of almost fourteen centuries when someone was speaking on human rights. This is itself an example of a miracle from Almighty Allah. Even after all this pacts & treaties, the Jews of Madinah not only rejected the call of unity & peace proposed by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) but also secretly allied with the infidels of Makkah.
It seems that on the broader level, the vested interest of these people was more allied towards the people of Makkah. Though the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has included the people of faith in this treaty as witness but it seems that the malice has turned their hearts & the power of reasoning had vanished from their minds. Even they had been a part of this confederate as an ally but they were always busy in making plots against Muslims. Even in the present times we saw that the people who ransacked them & responsible for their mass killings appeared to be close to them. The people who gave them status of equality were always remained their enemies. They remember the killings of the few hundred of those who repeatedly deceived & were punished according to their own law. Still in the present days, the city of Yathrib has been included in the map of Israel. If we go to their own primary sources, the lands that were allocated to them by Almighty Allah, the place of Yathrib was never part of it. All this discussion will come later in our chapter. Now let’s go ahead.
