Hajj is the fifth pillar of Islam — an obligation on every able Muslim once in a lifetime. Each year millions of pilgrims travel to the Holy Sites in Makkah during Dhul-Hijjah to perform the rites in the largest gathering of people on Earth, and the Hajj 2026 live broadcast brings the rites to viewers around the world.
The Hajj journey begins at the Miqat with ihram and the intention to perform the rites, then proceeds to Makkah for the tawaf and sa’i, then to Mina on the Day of Tarwiyah, then to Arafah on the 9th of Dhul-Hijjah, then to Muzdalifah for the night, then back to Mina for the stoning of the Jamarat and the nights of Tashreeq, and finally the farewell tawaf
Pilgrims spend the night of the 8th of Dhul-Hijjah (Day of Tarwiyah) at Mina, then return to it after departing Muzdalifah for the nights of Tashreeq (11th, 12th, and 13th of Dhul-Hijjah), stoning the three Jamarat each day after midday.
