From 1934 to 1980, GIMS was a government dispensary that provided only OPD facilities. In 1980 it became a Taluqa Hospital & in 2005 it declared Medical College.

A role model, A stunning professional in the medical field of Pakistan.
He got Primary & Secondary education from Gambat. He went to Liaquat Medical College, University of Sindh. After his house job he joined Pakistan Army in 1971 & served for 03 years as captain he joined Sindh Health Department as a Medical, officer in 1974 & posted in a Dispensary at Gambat.
He has been associated with the medical field for over 45 years & due to the valuable services he received a pride of performance award.
He said
“It was my dream to see kidney & liver transplants here in the remote area of Sindh, as well as training& capacity building being offered to medical personnel.
It is unbelievable to see the degree of discipline & specialized Medical Facilities at such a remote area”.
JIMS is a teaching hospital, it first-rate dated a first-rate teaching hospital at the level of a medical center by the Department of Health.
