A Hindu priest, who allegedly threatened to kidnap and rape Muslim women, has been reported to the police and a case has been registered against him, NDTV reported.
Police have started their investigation by taking statements from eye witnesses.
The clips of the speech sparked controversy after it was shared on social media. He reportedly gave this hate speech outside a mosque in Uttar Pradesh’s Sitapur district.
In the video, a man in a saffron robe can be seen addressing a crowd from inside a jeep.
He can be heard saying, “If you harass a Hindu girl, I will kidnap Muslim daughters from their houses and rape them.”
