Facebook is testing desktop chat apps for Mac as well as Windows and beta versions have already been rolled out, spokesperson for Workplace for Facebook confirmed to TechCrunch on Friday.

The beta versions, for now, are being supervised by Workplace by Facebook which is a collaboration software much like Slack.

Reportedly, the desktop apps are downloadable now (b-versions) if you have Windows 7 or Mac 10.9.

The desktop apps are equipped with sharing photos, videos, gifs and they also play as your text store which means that you are search your previous chats from the stored content.
