Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah on Sunday revealed that Justice (r) Javed Iqbal’s name has been finalised for the post of chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Addressing a press conference in Sukkur, Khurshid Shah expressed hope that post of the chief of the country’s top anti-graft body will remain apolitical. He said Iqbal, a former apex court judge, possesses valuable judgment skills.
Shah especially lauded Abbottabad Commission report prepared under the supervision of Iqbal.
He said names proposed by some of the political parties lack merit.
