The federal government announced a series of appointments, transfers, deputation extensions and leave approvals in the civil bureaucracy, with the Establishment Division issuing separate notifications for the changes.
According to the notifications, Fiza Ali, a Grade-18 Section Officer of the Office Management Group, has been dismissed from service under the Civil Servants (Efficiency and Discipline) Rules, 2020 on charges of prolonged unauthorised absence.
In another development, Umar Farooq Rana, Director in the Ministry of National Health Services, has been assigned the additional charge of Director General (Development) in the ministry.
The Establishment Division also transferred Dilshad Hussain, a Grade-17 officer, from the Ministry of Planning and Development to the Finance Division, where he has been posted as Section Officer.
Meanwhile, Maria Safir, Deputy Director of the Punjab Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), has been transferred to the Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency (Pak-EPA) under the Ministry of Climate Change as Deputy Director.
The government has granted Tania Rashid, a Grade-18 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service, one year of extraordinary (unpaid) ex-Pakistan leave from August 21, 2026, enabling her to travel abroad.
Similarly, Ambrain Raza, a Grade-22 officer serving at the National School of Public Policy, Lahore, has been granted leave to visit the United States. Her leave comprises 120 days on full pay and 145 days on half-average pay, effective from August 1, 2026, to April 22, 2027.
In another notification, the deputation of Syed Aun Muhammad Bukhari, a Grade-20 officer serving at the Pakistan Television (PTV) Drama and Film Academy, has been extended for one year.
The Establishment Division also appointed Nawazish Ali, an officer of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Education Department, as Assistant Director in the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on deputation.
Additionally, the deputation of Muhammad Ashraf, a Grade-19 officer of the Pakistan Postal Group serving with the Public-Private Health Initiatives Sindh (PPHI Sindh), has been extended for another two years.
The Establishment Division issued formal notifications for all the appointments, transfers, deputation extensions and leave approvals.
