The 1984 film Greystoke – The Legend of Tarzan starring Christopher Lambert was filmed in Cameroon and you can visit Ekom Falls which was featured in the film. This is a spectacular waterfall not only because of its size and volume of water but because of its stunning surroundings. It is surrounded by dramatic slopes of lush green rainforest. There is a good vantage point where you can take photographs and then you can walk down a very steep slippery slope to get lower down and a little closer, which adds to the magnificence.
With about 30 kilometers from Nkongsamba, on the road to the west, and between Nkongsamba Melong, we assume a 11 km route to the place where you can see Ekom beautiful waterfalls. Nkam, which raises the limit between the Littoral and West a height of 80 meters.
Ekom Nkam falls is the largest waterfall in Africa (such as a local, so we know not how this is correct). It is also where the movie Greystoke – The Legend of Tarzan has been fixed for the location of shooting.
Unfortunately, the road was closed to the falls due to construction, we could not all go in the car, but some of us went to the back of some local bikes, watching one of Cameroon’s natural beauty.
