I am so glad and happy to express my happiness on receiving a souvniour of Allama Iqbal gold plated photo as signed and presented by his grandson Mr Munib Iqbal on 28 November, 2018 at his Islamabad residence .

This souvniour was presented to me in acknowledgement of my strenuous hard work on the topic of “Ideology and state in Pakistan since 1970” which is my M. Phil (Master of Philosophy) thesis topic recently completed and passed by me.
He has been very kind to meet our class fellows batch on the occasion of Iqbal day celebrated in Islamabad in 9 November, 2017 at Pakistan national council of arts gallery PNCA building .i first time came to know Iqbal s grandson so had group photo with him.

Since I was doing course work of my mphil studies, so I have chosen a unique topic on revisiting the ideology of Pakistan ? (on which every expert in Pakistan has his or her own specific opinion) so I have to justify my research question as to why previous regimes in Pakistan did not follow Iqbal and Jinnah’ s ideology in meeting multi faceted social, economic, cultural, and political problems and challenges rather they indulged the country in their own dictatorial personalized ideologies such as Ayub Khan, yahya khan, Bhutto, and lastly zia up Haq who had played havocly with the good interests of Pakistan and indulged our homeland in waging jihad for other countries war and did not bother their own homeland’s safety and prosperity.

This is a very huge discussion can’t be summed up in an article here but I would like the readers to go through my thesis on it. It’s available in Quaid e Azam university library.
Mr Muniba was kind enough to provide me first hand information regarding my topic and shared with me Nazriya Pakistan pamphlet which was written by his father late justice Javed Iqbal, Allama sahib ‘son and rare copy of Iqbal -Jinnah Letters written in 1936-37 time span in which both discussed the political future of the Muslims of India .Both the personalities were very rarely come on convergence about issues mostly on divergence. But both through this correspondence both these personalities come on same page and determined fixed boundaries for Pakistan. Jinnah himself acknowledged his contribution in his Pakistan resolution speech in 1940 in these words ” if Iqbal had been alive today he would have been happy to see his dream of Pakistan was going to be accomplished in 1947.
He was also gracious to share his opinion about my topic.
Anyhow time passed I was busy in completing my thesis and recently passed Viva Vice of it.
I shared my result with him on messenger in a very causal way. Didn’t know that he would have started his journey from his ancestral Lahore residence to his Islamabad farm house to attend some meetings and Iqbal day function in women colleagues. It happened so suddenly and abruptly that I couldn’t imagined his intentions about this souvenir .i went office normally. Then I receive a message from him about the location so he could come and gave me so. Things were not seemed in favour of meeting with him in his last day in Islamabad as he was busy in attending a function in a collage till 3 o clock in the afternoon . He had to leave at 4 pm for Lahore. I called him at about 3 and asked his schedule he replied he just got free. So I rushed to him and met him in Iqbal sahib ‘photo gallery. He received me with great honour and this is the way he presented these awards, rewards, or whatever in recognition of my efforts.

I am so glad to him for his thoughts to acknowledge my little humble work that convinced me that day that there are great people as our precious heritage the first hand ? link of Iqbal ” family who have divine sight and search for acknowledging work of students such as me and share their valuables with us.
I am so very thankful Munib jee.May Allah bless you ever and ever for this act of graciousness as there is so much dearth of such acknowledgements.
