Federal Minister for Railways, Sheikh Rasheed has said he has complete faith in Prime Minister Imran Khan completing five years in office.

The veteran politician shared his thoughts while addressing a press conference at the Railway Headquarters in Lahore on Saturday.

Rasheed told journalists that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Opposition Leader Shahbaz Sharif and former president Asif Ali Zardari have no political future. He said if Bilawal Bhutto will hide his father’s corruption; he is no different.

He believes that the Sharif family and Asif Zardari are responsible for the increase in poverty and prices of gas and electricity.

While commenting on the cabinet reshuffle, the minister said, Imran Khan is an honest man, he removed a minister whom I never thought he would remove.

The railway budget will be finalised by April 24, said Rasheed. He said Pakistan Railways has recorded Rs4 billion more profit than its target. He added that corruption in freight operations has been eliminated.

Responding to a question, he said there is an international conspiracy that does not want the railway ministry to flourish. The international community was against the ML-1 project.

Railway projects will connect 70% of Pakistan’s population which can change the future of this country.

“By the will of God, I promise you I will give you great news regarding railways after returning from China,” he continued.

Meanwhile, news reports suggest Prime Minister Imran Khan has summoned the minister to Islamabad in connection with the ongoing Cabinet reshuffle.
