Translation of Dr. Shams Jilani “Roshni Hira Say”
Burial of the deceased and martyrs of Battle of Badr and return to
Medina
Section: 151
In the previous episode, we were talking that the devil appears two times
during the battle of Badr to deceive his followers. And he came in the disguise
of Saraqa. Some translators & scholars of Quran has interpreter the meaning
of this verse in the context of devil, the translation,
when the Satan made things good for them and said, "None of the people will
prevail over you because I am your companion."
The good news of the victory in Madinah reached before the Holy Prophet
Muhammad (PBUH) returned from Badr, the two messengers went to
Madinah to give the news of the victory, one to the upper part of Madinah and
the other to the lower part of Madinah. In Arabic, they are called Ahl al-
Madinah al-Aliyyah and al-Alsa Falah. Hazrat Abdullah (R.A.) Bin Rugha for al-
Aaliyah and Zayd (R.A.) Bin Haritha for al-Safalah. A narration came from
Hazrat Osama (RA) bin Zayd (RA) that we got this information at the moment
when we had already buried Hazrat Ruqayya (RA). It should be noted that Bibi
Ruqayyah (RA) was seriously ill at the time of the Prophet's departure from
Madinah. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) left Hazrat Osama (RA) bin Zayd (RA)&
Hazrat Uthman (R.A.) who was also her husband in Madinah for the sake of
taking care of them. When she started to get sick, both of these companions
received the good news of the reward of Jihad. This decision of the Holy
Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is a beacon for the
Ummah. Hazrat Osama bin Zayd (R.A.) says that when news reached that the
father came back from the battlefield, we went out in search of him and He
(Peace be Upon him) was surrounded by people in the Prophet's Mosque, and
all those Quraysh leaders who were killed in the Battle of Badr, the Prophet
Muhammad (PBUH) was calling their names and saying that so-and-so son of
so-and-so son was killed. Allah Almighty granted victory to His Messenger
over the disbelievers. And he further added that when I went close to him &
asked, O father if we had won over the disbelievers, he said, "Yes, my son, by
the grace of God." Hearing this, all the faces opened with joy and the air
echoed with the slogan Takbeer, and all the heads prostate to offer thanks to
their Almighty Allah.
