Amir-e-Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Hafiz Naeemur Rahman has appealed to the Karachiites to join the party in its sit-in protest against K-Electric today irrespective of party or political affiliation.
There is time for the start of the sit-in but there is no time when will it end, he warned while talking briefly to media after his arrival in front of the K-Electric head office.
Today is a great day for the people of Karachi to get their demands accepted and I appeal the people to join our sit-in protest against the over billing practice of the K-Electric so as to register their record. No political party has protested against the monopoly of K-Electric, he added.
Meanwhile, caravans continue pouring from all parts of the city to take-part in the sit-in protest and special arrangements are being made for the women and the children. These include shamianas for shade, sheets to cover roads as sitting arrangements and for Juma prayer which will be offered outside K-Electric’s head office.
